Hell yeah I care! I've never really thought he had the skill to be truly "on top",
but he's d@mn fun to watch.

This fight is horsesh*t!!!!!

Peter got a shot against Wlad to challenge for the number one slot in the IBF and personally, i'm not sure if he even did enough the first time to get that ranking. But everyone was hungry for the next big thang, so he got it and to his credit, he did better than most would against Wlad. He showed a lot of chin and heart.

Then....he puts on a snooze fest against Hawkins who I felt was below his standards.

Now, Long....WTF??

To me he is fighting his way down the heavyweight ladder, not up.

Anyone know how to say "you're going the wrong way" in Nigerian??

All kidding aside, its simple. Duva wants to boost Peter's confidence with a KO victory so until Peter does this (probably this weekend) we will keep seeing him go down the ladder.

He'll win this by Ko and keep winning against low budgit contenders. When he steps up, He will have trouble with his limited skills, But at least he has show stopping power. I would like to see him and Briggs go at it. I think Briggs would knock him out.

Julius Long is 7ft tall but can't fight on the outside whatsoever, he likes to brawl on the inside and is limited in that facet.. From the way Peter is being managed you would think he got his ass KTFO by Butterbean in his first loss or something, I dont get it.. He lost a competitive fight against the guy who just proved he is the best HW in the world, he dropped him 3 times and carried him the distance, no shame in that fight at all, hell he came back to come close to stopping Wlad in the 10th round.. He could have followed that up with a fight vs anyone else in the division.. This fight is garbage, I will watch it but only for the circus factor seeing 2 people of such different builds in what will be a sure first round KO with a little action while it lasts.

So Sam is gonna try to beat a tall lanky heavyweight with a bad chin to try to show people he can beat Wlad....HA!

Julius Long is garbage and this is nothing more than a confidence builder...he should win by KO and if he doesn't then that's bad news. I mean if Sam Peter wants a tall heavyweight to fight that he might be able to beat, try Tye Fields...he's tall, he at least has SOME forward momentum in the division

I think some of you guys are bitter because you saw him as some kind of savior.
Sam Peter has VERY limited skills, power, THAT'S ALL.
Granted, I can think of 20 guys I'd rather see him fight, but at least he's staying busy and at least it's not some BS $19.95 PPV.
