How long have you been training for? you been doing a lot? there are two ways to learn the answer to this... one is to listen to scrap and the other is through getting injurys in training...

After weights or any heavy workout,be carefull .The muscle has worked hard and is tired,theyve done test on this, and found for warming down,and getting rid of Lactic theres no difference by a light stretch by wrapping up or relaxing,weird but true But if you work Cardio and musculary hard for 3 dys a week,you will just be as fit as if you did 5 hard days.so lets say you have a hard Mon Wed Fri have Tue off and stretch Thur Sat morning Sunday Tuesday days off. With the stretch take your time from neck to feet after about 6 week you will reach another level of fitness
