He's past his best but so is Shane, he COULD beat Mosley and I want him to but I think Shane is gonna move more in this fight than he did in the last and that'll be bad for Vargas

I think his better days are behind him, but after seeing the Mosely fight, he still has something left. Vargas was doing good in that fight, and was coming on strong in the later rounds. Once his eye reached the disgusting point, Mosely jumped at the oppurtunity to end it by mutilating the eye even worse. But, I give Vargas a real chance at winning, especially since he lost a close one due to his eye. Mosely looked like he was fading while Vargas was getting stronger.

i like vargas to and hope he'll beat mosley, but he's had alot of wars and while still young at 28 he seems past his best but you never no, people said holyfield was past his best but he came back and beat tyson at the age of 34

He is still a good fighter, he easily is not what he use to be. I think that right now he is in the good opponent category. I can see him winning a title again, but not being an elite fighter like he once was. I see him as gateway fighter to the elite level. He is still better than most, but is just on the outside of the elites. When a fighter goes up against him, win or lose it was against a good strong fighter.

Holyfield was a great and teh great fighters are the ones that comeback . We'l find out if Vargas is a great but I reckon he's had his best days and consecutive loss to Mosley will ruin him . In the early rounds it looked like a mismatch. Mosely was all over him with his speed and stood more when he saw Vargas' eye getting bigger .

I reckon Sugar Shane is slowly getting back to his old form and will win more convincingly next time

I think Mosley's speed is once again the factor in this fight.

I'd like to Mosley to use more speed, more lateral movement because even though there fight was good, neither was massively convincing to me. I'd like Shane to win, then come to 147 to get in the mix. If Vargas wins,we may get a trilogy. I'd like Vargas,IF he loses to fight Mayorga,as both will be in the same situation then.

Hes been pushed too much, too young...

its a shame he's maybe coming to a end because i think he's one of the best and most entertaining charecters in boxing, a real tough nut

Never really got into Vargas...just don't dig on his style.

I personally don't think that he's that ferocious either.

And if you ask Holyfield himself, his best days are still yet to come!

But yeah I think Vargas is still pretty good, and I think he could beat Mosley. In fact if his eye never blew up like that, I think he would have pulled off a close decision.

If it wasnt for the eye I dont think Shane would have fought the way he fought . He saw the eye was swelling so he stood more and slugged aiming for the eye . In the early goings he was using his spped and outclassing Vargas . As soon as he saw blood he changed his tactics and went for the injury

Vargas has no chance at beating Mosley, he's like Mayorga, a tough fighter but not a good boxer.
Mosley should challenge PBF or Margarito, for a title!
