Does it seem when 15 round championship fights were around there were less controversies, mainly because someone had a better chance of getting knocked out, that things were better and more exciting?

15 round fights should of never been changed to 12. Those extra 3 rounds would change the outcome in alot of fights.

Thanks. It's been awhile since I gotten one of those. For some reason I tend to rack up more sc's.Originally Posted by LuciferTheGreat

back when safety was not a concern 15 rds was the norm....but since we grew brains and decided to protect the fighters and increase their longevity 12rds is more than enough.....heck why not drop back down to the 8oz gloves again while we're at it.....how about we just go back to unlimited rounds and don't stop until we have someone KO'd or quits....come on people!!!!!!!! 12rds is plenty.............Originally Posted by LuciferTheGreat

I like this...in championship bouts...forces the fighters to condition themselves more.
i would like to see 15 rounds back
the only difference in 12 and 15 rds is heart not conditioning ....and unrepairable damage to the fighters..... someone has to step in and be the voice of reason.....It will never go back to 15 rds...Originally Posted by mucho testosterone

Boxing is hard on a man whether it's 12 rounds or 15 rounds. I know that they did some study about when a boxer takes the most damage and I know that they said it was in the last three rounds but tell that to the guys who fought Tyson back in the day.Originally Posted by bigragu
It's all relative to whom your opponent is. IMO the study was put forth and the max rounds changed to get all of the activists to back off.
