It was a BS stoppage. Ortiz dropped a few elbows, Shamrock winced but he was fine. Then he was about to turn out of it and Herb Dean pulled Tito off of him. Tito was pissed and challenged Shamrock to a rematch.

Wouldn't exactly agree with you there... Shamrock was fucked. He is 42 years old and has been finished for several years. Tito was just going to keep landing elbows on him, if not Shamrock certainly wasn't about to get out of trouble,... from what I could see it only looked like that because the ref came in to stop it, that's when Ken broke free and got up right away, but before that Tito had him fully mounted landing elbows.. I realize Shamrock is as tough as nails and certainly could have taken a severe beating in there and would never quit, but I don't actually think it was a BS stoppage. Shamrock didn't wince, the first elbow plain rocked him and he almost got really hurt, granted the follow up shots were grazing but I just didn't care to see him get killed in there, I think the stoppage was fine, didn't excpect much of a fight to begin with so I wasn't that pissed. and it's a joke if a rematch happens, you must have seen their first fight... Can you honestly tell me you thought Shamrock had any chance of winning tonight, or that he would if they fought again?

I would have loved to see the fight go on too, but if it did, it would have only been a few seconds.

THATS GOOD THAT THE FIGHTS BEEN ANOUNCED. too very dominant fighters at their weight, i hope silva doesnt have to lose his musle mass to face liddell, liddell should move up in weight!

i still think silva will be too hungry, ferocious and vicious for liddell to handle!

This WILL BE A MASSIVE FIGHT IN MMA, IF IT HAPPENS! it betta happen under pride rules so silva could stomp on chucks heads.

I really like both these guys. And I feel like its a coin flip. Chuck has the better KO power, but Silva's has much better hand speed. I'd say Chuck's chin is probably a little better that being said its no so much the power of silva's punches as the sheer speed and volume you get hit with. Silva has great knees and Chuck has great leg strikes. The fight will boil down to can chuck connect while avoiding Wanderlei's bull rush or will Silva's constant pressure and hand speed be the difference. Classic brawler vs counter puncher in terms of boxing.
