i pick louis by a UD
i pick louis by a UD
If this is a prime Holyfield I'd pick him to knock Loius out.
I think Loius was overratted, knocked out by Schmelling, dropped by two ton Galleto, beaten by a light heavy in Billy Conn, given a gift against old man Wolcott.
Joe Louis would have been beaten up bad by a prime Holyfield.
I think you might be on to something here, Evander was never a member of the "Bum of the Month Club" aka Louis opposition.Originally Posted by bilbo

Hard fight to pick...They were very simular in size...Louis never weighed more than 215 or so at best.....I think it depends at what point in their careers they met
Hidden Content IN CASE THEY ALL FORGOT WHAT REAL HEAVYWEIGHT POWER WAS!!!
if holyfield managed get inside and trade with louis holyfield by ko because hes got much better chin than louis
They would be about the same size, Holyfield would weigh a bit more and have the better chin.
Both warriors, seasoned fighters.
Louis clear edge in power and hand speed would mean he catches up with Evander about the 6th round and the ref stops the bout with Holyfield unable to continue safely.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
I would think Holyfields conditioning would put him above Louis...not only is Holyfield in better shape he is also considerably stronger. meaning Louis couldn't break his holds or push off enough to get his shots off. I think holyfield could bully louis around, something that never really happened to Louis. I don't think Louis could fight that kind of fight...Originally Posted by X

Louis better be ready to war with Evander..Holyfield always comes in superb condition and a huge heart ready to risk it all..I say Prime Holy beats Louis, Evanders chin will make the difference
This would be a great great match-up. Louis was kinda one dimentional by Holyfields standards, his chin was pretty soft for a heavyweight champ but his defense was good & his hands were fast enough to compensate for his slow footwork. Holyfield was always in superb condition, used multi-punch combo's & huge heart.
It would be Louis' right cross Vs Holyfield's left hook. I see Louis' power being the difference here & seeing Louis to a tough decision win.
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
Holyfields traded with 18 stone men and withstood Tysons ferocity . He knows how to negotiate rounds and pace himself whilst working th eother guy and I think Louis style would suit him .
Joe is very stand up , orthodox and isnt a very big man so Evander would be able to get off with his combos use his size , combos and dare I say head to his advantage . Id go with the real deal on points or late K.o
My video shows exactly how Joe and his era fought. In that video, does that version of Joe look like he or anybody else would land anything on foreman or people he fought?
he and guys from his time look like novices compared side by side to no names Foreman fought, and in no way does anyone from that era look like they would last 1 round vs. guys in the 70s-'90s so why did clearly not sane people say louis wins?
lennox even in his first top 10 pro matches was way more advanced than the 70s let alone the novice like era louis fought in so why was this named primes?
