    Default hiking vs jogging

I just wanted to know how everyone felt about hiking compared to jogging for building stamina. Is jogging on flat ground better? I know it's harder to go uphill obviously, but is there somthing special your body gets from jogging that it does not from hiking?

by hiking do you mean walking up a hill? why walk when you could jog or run... just my opinion.

Here's what my trainer has me doing and I feel it works me pretty hard... Monday, Wednesday and Friday I jog 3 miles. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday I alternate 2 minutes of hard running with 1 minute of jogging for a break, it sort of simulates fighting a round and then having that break between. The best Ive done is three rounds.

opinions, suggestions? what does everybody think of that for conditioning?

Jogging hills gives a slightly different workout.
Just plain old jogging is good for you cardiovascular system. You learn to jog for longer after a while, etc etc.
Incorporating hills into your jogging not only gives you a harder workout but also brings your legs into the equation a lot more too. Find a good medium between the two, but i wouldnt completely cut out either one.
