im 17 and thinking of making a boxing website.. but wanted to ask people who know anything about PHP and using the ADMIN..

I basicly know everything there is to need to know about PHP.

IMO, PHP is a good way to go. Some will argue that PHP is for lamers (not true) cus you have to know and learn things and if you begin to learn and want to spice up your site, you will have to understand some coding or at least have some basic knowledge. Not as hard as it looks but not as easy as it sounds either.

Are you using a free PHPNUKE site or do you have your own domain?

Do you have any experience in making websites period? It would help to have some knowledge. If you ask me, PHP is fun and it is fast to set up a site once you know what you are doing. As a newbie, it would take me 7 days to get one up and running. Now it only takes me a few hours and this is with everything, full forum, shout box, links, tweaked modules and blocks, tweaked themes and what ever else you can think of, ect..

I've got my own website and don't even know what PHP is.

Can't you just find a webhost with a decent site wizard and use that? Or download some php website creation software of a torrent site and use that?

Personally I consider it a waste of time learning to do anything myself when I could just use some software or template wizard that will do it for me :P

But then again I am incredibly lazy!
