To be honest no, its good for a cardio workout but works the muscles in a different way than Boxing movement completly. If you can get hold of a Total Gym theres things you can do on that which are perfect as a substitute for the whole body. With a little thought theres some brilliant routines

I had a Total fitness gym and can vouch. However, it's better for upper body, no question. with legs, you have to get creative and maybe purchase some extra general fitness parts, and/or do one leg at a time.

For squats, I attached a weight bar to it (even before they had that as an option) by wire rope (aka aircraft cable). The bar sat on the bottom of the bench and hooked to the top of the bench. So I wouldn't slide off while doing the squat, I made the wire rope just long enough that I could hang on to the weight bar while pushing.

you can also try spinning for cardio. it's easier on joints and really builds the thighs. I got a spinning bike for $600 and it was money well spent.

omt, the Total gym is not good for bench press because there's nothing to support your weight as you push. That's good for your core, but you can't press to failure. The best you can do is hook your feet to the bench with a belt or something. It's also not the proper angle for bench press. But you can get around that, too, by using some chain extension cables. Thus it makes it a truer bench press.

cc Scrap. I've recently started using one of those. I think it's pretty good, especially if you increase the angle of the runner - the only problem is staying on the bench. Maybe try some velcro on my a***.

Actually md ive been going to make one myself good point about the seat with a couple of velcro pads here or there it would make a difference and somewhere to stack some weights

After using mine for 4 years, I've had time to think of pretty much everything. I have the perfect two attachment inventions...one for anti-slip and leverage, and one for weights.

pm me for details. I'm looking for investors.
