    Default Willie Pep passes

Ring legend Willie Pep passed away on Thursday at the West Hill Convalescent Home in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, according to the Hartford Courant. Pep, a two-time world featherweight champion, was 84. In his prime, the Hall of Famer was one of the greatest defensive boxers who ever lived, once purposely winning a round without throwing a punch. Fightnews extends our sympathies to Willie's family. Services are pending.

Yep, RIP, great fighter... THe man was 84 years old though and as far as I know still had his wits about him in his old age, probably can thank his elusive style for that.. He lived a full life which is much more than can be said for many fighters. Nothing tragic about it.
