For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
cool. The impulse/inertia thing caught my attention.... had never heard of it so I yahoo'd it to find out that it is essentially a $3000 version of the weights and pulleys sytem I put together in my basement for under $30. You decide...

vs mine... which now has 5 hooks on the wall...
Would you rather pay $30 dollars to use essentially the same piece of equipment or $3000 and not have to use it in the cellar of a physcopath?...
I might be a psycho but I'm also a freakin genius. Look at this pic. You may as well put me in that pic. It's basically an identical exercize that I do but obviously I do left and right arms. It even looks like they offer a gadget just like my left hook attachment.
You and your bloody gadgets....
Jack Dempsey used the same type of kit in the 20s

It always amazes me the claims of some people, get the best fighter from an Olympic Games whose won World Titles been in wars got a great track record, plus has the expereiance and knowhow, and claim this and that about conditioning. They never try and get a nobody and develope them. The power of the written word has more power than the methods they use.Ive talked to the boxers who have come out of hospital after being hurt using the methods torn ligaments blood clots removed. Mind without it we would have boring fights like THE Bore in Manilla and other crap fights to watch. X has it right, a lie told often enougth becomes the truth

it's a good point scrap. cc. people talk about how great eddie futch was, but I've never heard of ANYONE actually knowing what he did that was so great. A great fighter can fall into your lap and once he does, others will follow. Thus, it begs the question, do great trainers make great fighters, or do great fighter make great trainers? Probably a 50-50 split or so. it depends on how bad the guy wants it.
A great trainer will open your mind , He will have a way of expressing himself to you in such a way that you comprehend his knowledge. a person that makes you want to be great , makes you want to learn more. a nurturing figure who points out your weakness in such a way you don't get discouraged..
I think its a real talent to be a great trainer, you have to have certain personality traits coupled with an extensive amount of knowledge.
Amen to that. Some people are born leaders. Couple that with great knowledge and a great sense to apply that knowledge and your half way to becoming a good trainer.Originally Posted by Lords Gym
