I've always liked Hunt, but I had no idea he was that strong. He was actually winning that sucker pretty easily, IMO.

I was wicked impressed by Hunt. He's always been a favorite of mine, but the way he performed against Fedor was truly amazing. He almost had Fedor submitted twice, escaped an excellent armbar attempt, and even MOUNTED Fedor. If Pride allowed elbows, I'd go as far as to say that the fight would have ended with a new champion being crowned.

I haven't seen the fight, and cannot see it on youtube cus I am on dial up. So whats the deal with Fedor in your guys opinion? Has he been slippin, gettin old or what? Because didn't he just have a close, long fight with a very old Mark Coleman. And now a damn close fight with the MMA David Tua, Mark Hunt? So whats up with Fedor, and how did he win the Hunt fight, was it the right decision? Would Fedor destroy Arlovski and/or Tim Sylvia now IYO?

I dont think it was Fedor so much as it was Mark Hunt. The guy is an excellent fighter, but has ground game has always sucked. I think Fedor underestimated him going into it, and was surprised by how much he had improved. Fedor will still destroy anyone, but Mark Hunt came DAMNED close to winning this one.

Also, Fedor win via kimura late in the first round.

I think Hunt is just so much stronger than everyone thought he'd be.

Mark Hunt rocks ! I not big on UFC or any of that MMA, but I like watching Mark Hunt. He bring that Samoan type Power, and punch like Mutha ! I like him becuase punch is his main weapon, and he is one of the rare guys in MMA that can do it correctly.

When I watched the rematch of Fedor / Mark Coleman it seemed as if he wasn't quite the offensive machine he was. As highly as I think of Mark Hunt, I think not fighting the best of Fedor allowed him to do as well as he did - the aggression still didn't seem to be there. The hand surgery has to be taken into consideration, but still he looked like a completely different fighter. Anyone else notice this?
