    Default Tall fighters lean forward?

Just trying to improve my stance here. I am 6' and 132 lbs. Id say its safe to say that I am taller than most people in my wieght class. I have heard that in the proper stance you should tuck your chin down and almost act like you are looking out with your eye brows bent down. When I go into my stance I naturally kind of slouch downward which kinda makes me 5' 10'', but I feel more stable.

Is it normal to lean forward for tall fighters?
Should I keep my back straight, and just bend my knees slightly?
Does the forward lean give me more room to miss punches?

Any suggestions to what the correct stance should be?

i am 6ft myself and around 126 lbs i think cus it works in kgs for uk but i think 126 is bout right

anyways i think u should not slouch make the most of ur height i put much of my weight on my back foot so i have a stable base with my feet but still make the most of my hieght and reach advantage also something u need to rember is ur gonna most likley be punching down wards so odont leave ur chin out to dry

    hope this helps mate

Yehh.. Dont slouch while you fight unless it benefits the style that you already use..
But its best that if your a tall fighter..That you fight like a tall fighter..Stand up strait but still keep your hands tight and your elbows in.. Ive noticed alot of tall lads do stand tall but theyr defense is open..
The taller you stand the more you can pick your punches and keep distance.. and its alot harder to counter punch on tall lads..

You only want to lean forwards on the inside to the shorter guy can't get his stance right and either has to hold your upper body up or or move out of range to avoid bending his waist.

Either way he takes your weight and can't throw properly... or bends forward and can't throw properly.
