I was begging for it back around the time that Toney kicked the shit outta Rydell Booker...Byrd even called him out. Said that he was ready to sign if Toney was.

Toney mouthed off some senseless shit, then said he was ready, Byrd asked him to shake on it, he mouthed off something else...senseless shit, & that was the end of it.

Who knows which one actually killed the deal. Lord knows not Toney.

Yeah, I always wanted to see him fight Lewis. I think Lewis let the IBF belt go instead of fighting him. As much as I liked Lewis, I lost a little respect for him for dodging that one.

Yep. That is what happened. Ruiz dodged him like a bullet also...a shit load of respectful fighters laced up their track shoes after watching Byrd give Tua the issues that he did.

I've always been impressed with Byrd...even though he was a huge grief magnet.

Honestly...I think that Byrd would have given Jones hell & Jones thought that too.

Jones had & showed lots of respect for Byrd. Always gave him props during his fights & also when discussing the future of the sport @ 200+lbs.

I dont want to see Jones fight anywhere except at light heavy. Hes done enough playing around with his weight and I think hes paid the price for it, Id like to see him settle at light heavy now where hes been for a while and maybe look at getting back on top in that division.
