Default Roy Jones Vs Mike Tyson

Who would win in their prime?

Jones has height, reach and speed.

Tyson has power and head movement.

Now RJJ was considered pound-for-pound the best boxer on the planet in

his prime, thats the boxer I am comparing.

I say Tyson knows him around, but loses UD.

Any version of Mike Tyson would of knocked Jones out inside of 3 rounds i think, he was too powerful for a start and Jones doesnt like fighters pressuring him Tyson would of been the boss in the ring and bullied him about. I wouldnt have liked to see this fight anyway, seeing your 2 favourite boxers go at against eachother cant be too nice to watch.

IMO tyson D-stroys RJJ prime vs prime.

there not that far apart in age...3 years but tysons first fight was at 214lbs
    RJJ started at 157
his heaviest fight (ruiz) was still only at 193.

Many people thnk that prime TYSON beats ANY heavyweight of all time!
So agains RJJ with one HW win?? pretty easy to figure a winner there.

BUT.... today I think RJJ beats Tyson!
If RJJ can slip for 1 or 2 rounds max, He would win by UD

I do like looking at RJJ's record and seeing beside a win a list of the belts they were fighting for! it looks like this!

~ WBC Light Heavyweight Title ~
~ IBF Light Heavyweight Title ~
~ WBA Light Heavyweight Title ~
~ IBO Light Heavyweight Title ~
~ WBF Light Heavyweight Title ~
~ IBA Light Heavyweight Title ~
~ NBA Light Heavyweight Title ~

    THATS what undisputed title means!

Tyson now is TOTALLY done but RJJ can still get some gas in the tank.

When Roy was at heavyweight he could have outboxed Tyson....it's not inconcievible that RJJ would win a decision.

Tyson would have the obvious power advantage but honestly the fighter who threw one punch at a time vs Williams, McBride, and even Lewis he wouldn't be able to catch Roy at heavyweight....no way in hell

There is a problem with ALL the replies here.

The people are saying a Heavyweight Champion RJJ or beat Ruiz cannot beat
Mike Tyson. Doesn't the pound-4-pound title mean anything then?

Sounds like RJJ is a paper champ, pick and choose then quickly leave before
a real fight can be made.

Far as I am concerned, RJJ woulcn't last a fight or 2 in the Heavyweight div.
Esp. witht a top Heavyweight crown.

I have lost my interest in the pound-4-pound title. What happens in the ring
shall be the proper test as far as I am concern.

If boxing was lke the old days where there was ONE champ per division, would
RJJ have won won so many championships? NO! Cause creating more championships gives rise to less competition.

Boxing should go back to 1 champ per div so people don't get the wrong idea.

Outside of Heavy weight he still would of gotten the belt in every division he boxed in.

Honestly people... get real ! Jones Jr. was one of the best, if not the best light-heavy ever. A master boxer, and a joy to watch. But let's face it. He beat John Ruiz, who is a FAR CRY from Tyson in his prime. Ruiz is a journeyman fighter, who happened to get lucky against an "over-the-hill" Evander Holyfield. (That's why light-heavies get in line to get to fight him).

Tyson in his prime was an awesome force. He bobbed and weaved... he threw punches in bunches (and with murderous intentions). A fight between the two would've been a matter of survival for Jones Jr., where Roy would've survived the first round only if the ring were large enough to allow him to run all over it. Once Tyson caught him with a punch ANYWHERE on the face or body, that would've been it.

Is there ANY other possible scenario?!?
