If people have Pernell winning this fight there is no way you can't have the best Mayweather also winning this fight. if you're using Castillo I as a schematic for this fight throw it out because PBF had two broken ribs, and a torn rotator cuff going into the fight. In the second fight Castillo wasn't able to hit him with anything clean, and most of his "connects" came while they were clinching, and the punches were pretty much meaning less. I think Mayweather would have a close fight with Duran, but he would win, and maybe even knock Duran down because Mayweather is, and was a respectable puncher p4p in his real classes. I see him staying away jabbing, and when they get to the ropes like against Corrales or Castillo he dips under Duran's hooks and slides away. Mayweather had better reflexes than Leonard and less likely to stand and trade with the hands of stone which is the only reason Duran won the first fight.

Mayweather could never win in a "fight" with Duran. He would have to take no chances at all. Mayweather would not be able to win in close against Duran so he would cautiously fight on the outside under the aggresion of Duran. So, Duran would be the dictating the pace of the fight while PBF would be pecking away at him andscoring points with meaningless punches. PBF would likely win a close decision en route to losing a lot o fans.............................................. ..................oh yeah and the other outcome is PBF gets batterered by the tougher, more aggressive and harer puncher Duran and gets stopped late trying to trade with the hands of stone.

Im talking about taking risks and mixing it up a little. Mayweather took risks when he was a lightweight but he wouldnt againt Duran.

....you're absolutely right, PBF would be running for the whole fight vs Duran and rightfully so.

The thing is "Hands of Stone" knew how to make someone brawl

Almost a Sugar Ray - Duran Repeat IMO. It can really go both ways.

Duran by KO in 6 or 7...just to agressive and would apply to much relentless pressure. Floyd would be on the defensive all fight until Duran would catch up with him.

Duran just wouldn't let him throw enough punches to get a decision. Nobody has ever been good enough to test Mayweathers chin yet. Duran would have big time and it wouldn't have been pretty!

    And wisely so.
That's like saying Duran could beat Floyd... if Floyd let him punch him sometimes.
It'd be Duran - Leonard II
    I don't think he'd "No mas" Duran, but it'd be a UD.
Floyd doesn't lose at lightweight. His speed is just too much. And his power at lightweight wasn't too shabby, baby.

Roberto Duran had a way to draw people into a fight and Duran was a very good defensive boxer as well.

IMO if Oscar De la Hoya was smart he'd be the black hat vs Mayweather....maybe PBF would stand and trade a little

Duran was not a relentless persuer... He was very cautious comming in, and to this point Mayweather has never been hurt so we don't even know if Duran would have the power to stop him at all let alone at 135... When Duran decided to brawl his punches got wild, and Mayweather is a much better counter puncher than Leonard, and much better defensively on the inside. I've watched the Castillo fights a few times, and the only problem Mayweather would have is when Duran tied him up with one arm, and hit him with the other because that was very effective for Castillo.

Duran is an all time great but what beats him is speed. Matters if Floyd can handle Oscar easily and handle that next level, then I think he can outspeed Duran. Duran had trouble with speed. Look what happened with Dejesus, Leonard and Benitez and Hearns
