According to Dana White's post UFC 68 video, Chuck's been fighting pneumonia for a while now, but refuses to see a doctor.

Having been in that same exact situation, I gotta say it doesn't sound TOO far fetched. I had it for about a month before I finally saw a doctor, and at night I was getting literally no more than an hours worth of sleep, and not very good sleep at that. It was brutal. I also kept myself doped up on Nyquil (Dayquil stopped helping at all after a week or so...the sleep medication in the Nyquil seemed to help) almost 24/7, and acted exactly like he was there.

That, along with the fact that I haven't heard ANYTHING about him anywhere in a while, and it doesn't sound too far fetched. But I still wouldn't rule out that he was just completely shitted.
