    Default How many world boxing champs retired never having lost a pro bout?

    i can think of rocky marciano, terry marsh, ricardo lopez, sven ottke and i know there was an ibf champ just after they formed who also retired unbeaten, but cant remember his name.

    you could actually add cassius clay to that list too. he was only ever defeated as muhammad ali

    Lol Yep.. Somethin like 40 odd undefeated

    And won that title in his 3rd fight lol..
    You dont tend to recognise any of his opponents but i actually found out that some of his opponents were pretty good recently... A couple of his opponents had fought some big named fighters etc..

    it could be argued that lennox lewis did as he beat the only fighters that beat him and so sort of canceled out the loses
    not the same i know, but ya get the point.

    i was actually watching a boxing programme and teddy brenner the old madison square garden matchmaker mentioned the ali/clay thing. so i guess hes stupid too eh
