Now, when news breaks of Mercer fighting Kimbo everyone knows the Rahman bout was canceled.

Thats cause the Mercer-Rahman fight was cancelled right before they announced the Mercer-Kimbo fight.

Didn't see your other thread. But that fight was canceled months ago, kind of like that heavyweight tournament. That was what Mercer was pissed about, he said he was training for this tournament, then it falls through, then lines up Rahman, and Rahman backs out. I tried to find it on fightnews again, but I couldn't. It was really canceled months ago.....

That is boxrec.com. I was looking around last month and it had me penciled in to fight Bernard Hopkins. I wouldn't take anything on there in the way of matchups as valid if it isn't on another source.

Doesn't he kick? I mean Thai and KICKboxing use kicking.....boxers aren't used to blocking kicks and so Ray got KO'd by a kick if I am not mistaken.

Exactly... I have to wonder, just what exactly has he faced that will even have semi prepared him for a professional(even an old past it) HW boxers shots... Kimbo fights goons that have no clue how to throw a punch.. The one time he fought a semi decent STREET fighter, Gannon, he was pretty much brutally beaten, he only lasted as long because of his little wannabe crew that obviously don't give a damn about his health... I hope it's the same with his corner in this fight, so Mercer can lay some pain on him.. Although I wouldn't be surprised if he crumbled or got Koed early either.
