Gonna take a note pad with me and do a brief right up of how each bout went as I saw it, then what the judges said

Might stick it up as soon as I get in... but I've had a lot of nights out/late nights at graft/training going on so I might just fall asleep...

Plus I might possibly be getting to go backstage afterwards. A friend from the gym met Ricky hatton's nephew last night (so he says ) but we're not too sure if it's really him or not... might have just been some random winding her up...

Cool if it's true though

Update:

Here be it -

SPOILERS (FIGURE IT OUT... )

PAUL SMITH V JONATHAN REID

Good competitive bout, Smith is edging it on points and Reid can't seem to figure Smith out, neither fighter has a clear advantage on the outside... but Smith is bossing on the inside... despite Reid being the one doing most of the tying. Rounds are almost alternate - one to each fighter as it goes on but Smith starts to break away on work rate. Every time Reid gets caught with a solid shot it seems to hurt him from about the 4th... Smith doesn't seem phased by anything Reid can throw. Couple of times Smith could finish off Reid but he ends up smothering his own work and jumping in getting excited. 7th round Smith finally gets to Reid, short right hook (I think seats weren't the best :P) and floors him... Reid is up at about 7-8 or at. Reid gets caught again by a left hook/uppercut and the only thing that keeps him up is Smith... Smith lets him drop and the ref waves it off. Corner aren't too happy.

ANTHONY SMALL V WALTER '2 Guns' WRIGHT

Decent bout I suppose, not an awful lot of contact till the last 2-3 rounds... hard to call most of the rounds really... I had Small edging it it but if I'd been sitting somewhere else I probably could of easily given it to Wright, Small is dancing around doing his RJJ impression but rarely throwing anything... other fighter is also apprehensive... tied till the end but Small eventually gets it for me once he finds a rhythm and starts to connect... last rounds had some good action because both fighters realised that it could go either way.

SMALL SD

ROSS MINTER V 'Furious' FREDDIE CURIEL

This was a bout... Clean boxing but a really good fight... Minter is taking a few jabs to start off but soon manages to close Curiel down and start bossing the fight, I'm reasonably impressed with Minter's movement for suck a strong guy... first round is even but Minter starts bossing it from here on out... not only is he out working Curiel but out boxing in spells as well. 5-6 rounds it looks like Curiel is gonna get stopped, I'm amazed the ref didn't step in actually... Curiel is taking some punishment but he's a tough cookie. 7th round he manages to get back into the fight, gets a few flurries off but Minter still gets the round... 8th is much the same but then out of nowhere Curiel throw a peach of a punch and DOWN GOES MINTA What a come back! Minter trys to stand and is up by about 6 but falls into his corner and the ref waves it off... impressed with both fighters... great attitude... just what boxing needs... Minter takes the loss very well and is great for the sport... Curiel is one tough B******... I wouldn't call it luck but that fight could of easily ended as a wide UD for Minter.

CURIEL TKO 8

MARTIN CONCEPCION V ALFONSO GOMEZ

Got to admit I didn't watch this bout as closely... nearly fell asleep... :P just chatted to my mate. Alfonso came forwards most of the fight, got caught a bit but his work rate was getting it for him. Got Martin down in the 3rd-4th round (I think ), alfonso seems to catch him in the eye in the 7th... shades of nigel ban and Mrtin retreats and turns away from Gomez... Gomez rushes in and catches Martin a few times on the ropes and the ref waves it off.

GOMEZ TKO7

PAUL BUCHANAN V JERSON RAVELO

Buchanan is never completely out classed but Ravelo's just that little bit class has is much quicker on his feet, drops Buchanan a few times and gets a wide UD.

RAVELO UD8

ROBIN REID V JESSE BRINKLEY

Scrappy bout, Jesse is getting in close... lying on a lot etc... not loads to write about really... Reid gets a pretty comfortable UD... doesn't look like he ever steps it up to his top level... maybe this is all he's got now. Reid is the stronger man and gets the better of most of the exchanges... you can see the difference in experience.

REID UD8

COLIN MCNEIL V CORNELIUS 'K9' BUNDRAGE

Pretty good bout, Mcneil begins boxing quite well but Bundrage just seems to have that little bit more pop in his shots and accuracy... Bundrage is ahead 2-3 rounds and then catches McNeil with a killer body shot just before the bell... sounds like an air rifle going off and you can here it from the back of the arena... Mcneil (much to my amazement) just beats the count and then goes back to his corner... 20 seconds into the 7th or so the fighters are tied on the inside and McNeil drops... body shot... not a hard one but the shot from the 6th had taken it's toll... seems more of a case that McNeil couldn't keep himself than the shot taking his legs... no way he's getting up... Ref waves doesn't bother with the count because if McNeil gets up he's gonna get hurt.
