Amat there are thousands If McCain could do more it would be great. All ruling bodies are self appointed money grabbing wankers who I wouldnt give the time of day, they rob my best freinds fighters and when the fighters need help theyre nowhere to be seen. The funny thing about all this is most of the time the managers are ex fighters, probably getting there own back on the new bunch of suckers

The full text of the bill. Long read but worth it. It would enforce rules on networks aswell.
The term ``promoter'' means any person licensed under this Act--
(A) to hold, give, or otherwise conduct a
boxing match, program, or exhibition; or
(B) to broadcast a boxing match.
I know that was Don King's supposed gripe with it, that he thought the networks should be sanctioned just like the managers and promoters.

some were, but guess what we(Clufighters)
are the working class people , we don't
have millions to lose we just wont our right to

only a promoter because no one else wants
to lose the money to promote a show in my area.
So IF U run your mouth about me like that , you
make it so clear that you are just an uninformed
a$$-hole , that only knows what you have watched
on T.V., So to u the Cosby Show is the same as boxing
so please listen to atleast 97% of active fighters
that will lose there right to fight if this dreadful
act is past !Boxing is not a privilege is a right
and many people died for these rights over the
years . And I honor John McCain as an American Hero
who fought for his country , But he has never did
anything to take away the rights of the thousands
that will not ever be able to fight again!
Boxing is a right of the middle class working people ,
to take that right away is criminal !No matter
what the wanna be's and the Politicians say !!!!

Such bullshit Stacy. I like what you are doing autism and everything but all the commission calls for is basically nothing more then a physical. It's right there in language in that link. Just a baseline physical. What's great expenses will all together wipe out "clubfighting"?

The Average Club Fighter makes $400.00 a fight
the Average Promoter loses $4000.00 promoting
a show !
Should we not atleast have the right to vote
on the National Commission !Before some bureacrate
takes the right we were born with away !

Wouldn't insurance, even Medic-aid, cover all that? Besides, that's all stuff that should be required regardless of the cost.
Right we were born with? Boxing is a sport, sure you can compete but like every sport it cost to pay and safety has to be at a premium. For example, I play(ed) high school football, had to spend close to $500 for the equipment, and I had to get a physical through the team doctor which was another 50 bucks and I had to my helmet certified as safe which was $200 in itself. Lot of money and I wasn't getting paid nor was any of that stuff covered by any sort of insurance. Every sport has it's costs to compete in. Two fighters going out there in Russel Athletic basketball shorts and gloves from Big 5 is fine, so long as they are OK to compete. The fighters owe that to everyone, especially the fans because no one wants to watch a ticking time bomb in the ring. Especially when so many clubfights end in KO's.
In the end it's in the interest of the fighter, financially and safety wise.

Maybe Arkansas could do with some guidance?
Stacey you've employed this guy, why? Maybe Im missing something here kinda like the people that scoff at the records of Strickland and Buckley without knowing the full story. But 9 consecutive KO losses, 6 in the first round?

There have got to be safer was of paying the bills no?
Maybe the better solution is to get a job that doesnt see you on a stretcher after 3 minutes?
Out of interest how long is a fighter suspended for following a KO loss in that part of the world?

Sounds like being a boxing promoter isn't such a bad gig.
Are these annual expenses?Originally Posted by The Slug Out (Goodnight)

What other expenses are there, lisensing and what not?
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
Exactly, regardless of the sob story, he's been KO'd 9 times 9 times out. That's the safety part. Not to attack Stacy, but I came across this recently and really couldn't believe it.Originally Posted by Memphis

Hmm. Using fighters as judges? Certainly cast a bad light, and I have a hard time believing JD has a judges license, something he would have to go through a national commision to get. He did your wife's fight and scored it for her. Now I'm not saying there is anything crooked, but she gets the decision on a card her husband promoted and scored by one of her husband's fighter. Wouldn't hurt if a legit commission was looking over the bouts. Especially since Sarah is world rated.
