Anybody know when he is fighting again. I think he is awesome. I hear a few compare him to Jeff Lacey, but I think he is much better, works behind the jab then its night night.
What do you think of him??

He's a monster. He intimidates me by just watching him fight on tv.
lacy isnt that great..one dimensional...berto is somewhat similar to RJJ , moves , has speed and hell of punch and combos
I will watch this one closely. he looks promising ( Miguel Cotto story allover again)

Berto kinda reminds me of Mosley, controls the range, but he seems stronger but not as quick. Great combos though, and hard to hit.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!
I don't see how Berto fights like Roy Jones at all.Originally Posted by mikeboxing

Max Kellerum described him as a "cross between Tyson and Roy Jones". Not sure if I would go that far yet. I will say I wont miss any of his fights.
People are getting a little ridiculous in the comparisions. He's still very green, but has great speed and power.
Top prospect - but as discussed, lets reserve praise til later when we get a full look at him.
He has shown great promise so far against the limited opposition he has faced. I would like to see him step it up in the second half of this year. Not much he can learn against the opposition he has faced. So far I think his only weakness is his defense, needs to work a little more on that.

He destroyed that Norberto Bravo from tha contender in 1 round.
Look very very promising
so far his looking good, but even though his muscular like mike tyson i don't think he carries as much power as it looks.
hopefully he doesn't become the next jeff lacy.
is was very impressed with him when i seen him 2 or 3 fights ago and have been watching him with great interest for some time - i think he still has alot to do yet and ic an see him being one of those fighter who suffer a loss early on and learn so much from it to go on and do great things. Cans ee him ending up at SWW too.
He'll be luck if he is the next Lacy. Most fighters never make it that far. Lacy was a world champion, an extremely exciting fighter and on top of the world until he took that horrible beating from Calzaghe, in which he showed a ton of heart and courage. True, Lacy barely won, probably shoulda gotten a draw in his last fight, but the guy tore his rotator cuff(or however the hell you spell it). I know Lacy blew it against Calzaghe, but he is still a good fighter, and Berto would do well to make as Far as Jeff has.Originally Posted by BoxingGod
