    sorry to up such an old thread but fantastic article. I have been shadowboxing this way for a while now and I must say the improvements in my sparring are measurable. In particular, I visualise an opponent I usually have trouble with and box them exactly the way I should. Double jabs, feints, triple jabs, pivots off the ropes, and the best thing is when something you've tried in shadow boxing comes off in sparring!

    Very good article, people should stop overlooking shadowboxing just to go and hit the bag.
