Default What is going on with the referees in big fights?

It seems in the last 2 fights concerning my favourite fighters terrible refereeing decisions have got in the way and overshadowed a great fight in Barrera: Marquez and a potentially fun fight in Calzaghe: Manfredo....

What is going on with these poor decisions? The seventh round of MAB: JMM was a farce and the referee in the Calzaghe bout stepped in way too early!

Both refereeing performances were sloppy and amateuristic.....

Is it just me who feels let down by what is happening in the big fights at the moment?

This one was particularly bad. Even though Jim Lampley can sometimes be a pain in the butt, I gotta say that when he gets on his "soapbox" about something, he's usually got a point. He kept going on and on about the premature stoppage, and he was absolutely correct.

I believe the concern for safety has taken a big toll on boxing...I understand the seriousness of the situations fighters can get into but man...sometimes you gotta let them fight....that's what this sport is all about....
It feels good to be back home.
