Im not saying it could be helped.. im saying he was wasted talent because he died very young which was very sad and he could of achieved much much more that is wasted talent because you never got to see his full potential.Originally Posted by Ted The Bull
Seems a bit sick to include Mcclellan & Watson in this list, both went out in very unfortunate circumstances and both achieved a lot before being sadly injured. Its not like either of them got out of shape and messed up or lost through their own shortcomings. Both were great fighters who achieved a lot and who knows what else they could have done if it werent for their injuries. To me it just seems disrespectful to call them a waste of talent.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING

Both men fought there heart out, almost to there death. If they were not injured so badly they could have both made improvements to there style and came back.
Also not sure about Meldrick Taylor. He alway came into fights in good shape and was willing to fight anyone at any weight.Remember his fight with Terry Norris.
He just did not get over his loss to JJC mentaly or phisicaly. But I dont think he ever wasted his talent.

Thanks for sc and again people jump without knowing what im trying to say and bit i put in bold is exactly what im trying to say they could of been great fighters if it wernt for injuries and why is it sick ?? im saying they could of been great if it wern't for there injury's am i saying it's there fault ?? no im not i respect both fighters and was cut up about what happened im saying they were wasted talents that could of been so much more but am i saying its anything to do with them ?? no im not so next time you say my statement is sick or disrespectful find out the whole story next time.Originally Posted by beerjelly

He didnt mean for the Kim fight to happen that way
But it did
I agreed with your Terrible Tim
He didnt ask to get screwed by King
But he did
It was a waste of talent,in both cases
No one wrote Nas yet!?
I have still never seen footwork and power quite like his.. had he had more heart and bothered to come back properly after Barrera, he could have done it all....
Thats cricket
Also , I kind of want to write about Roy Jones, because we all know he did probably have what it takes to become one of the greatest of all time (he probably is already one of them in some peoples eyes) , it's just that he could have fought even better opposition.
Note that i wrote, "even better" , because i still think he faced decent guys, just not guys good enough for his elite standard.
Thats cricket
Dont know why Burleys there Okay he didnt win a world Title but he beat qiute a few who did, it was the times he lived in and a few other Black fighters had his problem. He wasnt with the mob. But even today good judges put him in the ATG top Ten its sad Robinson wouldnt go near him, but can understand why Archie Moore said he was the best fighter he had faced

Sorry if you were a fan,but the taunting against easily beaten opponents was insufferable
How does a guy (Salvador Sanchez) who kills himself in a car crash make his way onto your list? Can not believe you left out Razor Ruddick and Tony Ayala.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING
My sentiments as well.Originally Posted by Addicted to_boxing
CC 160 BoomBoom that's a great call on Nunn. Kind of contradicting my first post, but Nunn could have been one of the greatest fighters of all time imo. And he went to hiding in a dryer. Another boxing sad story but honestly, he was about as good of a fighter as there was.
John Mugabi did as well as he could with his talent. He was never a veryt good defensive fighter and it caught up with hoim. Of course, Hagler helped things along.
