Default Foreman bashing Floyd Mayweather Sr...

I was rewatched the DLH/Vargas fight yesterday and I noticed George Foreman making a lot of derogatory remarks about Floyd Sr. During the fight he said something to the effect of "Oscar needs to get back to his old trainers", and after DLH got the knockout, George said that "it would have happened a lot sooner with a different trainer."

I was just wondering if anyone knows if Foreman and Mayweather Sr have some sort of bad blood? George stated these things in a "professional" manner but it really came off as him having a grudge against either Mayweather himself or his training methods.

Any boxing historians/experts have any tidbits of info you could give on this?

George was simply telling the truth as he and others see it.

I remember exactly what you're talking about, and I know I was thinking the same thing... if there was some type of bad blood between Foreman and Floyd Sr.

I remember during that fight, Merchant even said to Foreman "You're really on Mayweather's case tonight, aren't you?" or something like that.

I know George is quick to speak his mind, and I respect that, but he gave no reasoning for it. He never said "Oscar should drop Floyd Sr BECAUSE...", it just seemed like he just assumed that we knew why Floyd Sr was a subpar trainer.

Have any idea why George sees it like that?

Foreman does that alot. He speaks his mind yet sometimes there is no logic to what he said. I am glad HBO doesn't use George in the telecasts. I really enjoyed Sugar Ray Leonard more than Foreman or Emanual Steward. Emanual is good but Ray was great..

how could it not come off sounding like bad blood if your saying a different trainer would do better.....at the same time he was being honest...and maybe he saw that SR wasn't playing to ODLH's strengths and he was holding ODLH back a bit....
It feels good to be back home.
