Default 24/7 was a complete success!!!

The ratings for the last two episodes aren't out yet, but the first two episodes averaged 4.1 Million viewers. This probably means that all four episodes of 24/7 probably will end up totaling around 16 Million Viewers total. If anyone doesn't understand how awesome those numbers are, Entourage (which is popular is hell) got 3.8 Million viewers in it's debut two weeks ago.

Yeah it was really enjoyable too. Shame they don't do it for more big fights.

It'd aired Thursday. There's a thread somewhere with the link.

Yeah they definitely favored ODLH on the show whenever they showed Floyd they always talked about his messed up family.

I don't know about that... They were just trying to set it up as the good guy vs bad guy... If you ask me, the bits about DLH were boring as hell and I have absolutely no newfound respect for Oscar.. He's a very boring guy imo.. Floyd may have been cast as the arrogant little punk at times, but at least that's a character for the public to take interest in...I really couldn't have given two shits about the parts with DLH tbo. Every time I see/hear him I just think, what a phony. Seeing him on Leno the other night, same shit as always.. He is BORING AS HELL.. If anything I think they actually did Floyd a favour, gave the public more of an understanding of why he is so arrogant by doing some background on his family.. Sure he has poor role models, the guy was only raised to fight, that's all he was ever taugh by his dad really... If you ask me Floyd turned out very well as a person considering the way his dad and uncle are.. I actually don't mind him at all as a person simply for having seen the 24/7 series... When beforehand I really only took interest in the guy when he's inside the ring and thought of him as a twat outside it.. Now I can't say that really..

We can call Oscar boring etc and Floyd certainly has been working work at selling it BUT Oscar is Oscar. If they said we are making a 4 part series of the Golden Boy on the toilet,it would get millions of viewers. Oscar makes fights, and no one makes fights like Oscar. So we can say he is boring etc but he's the only bona fida mega star in boxing. I do agree though,I find myself liking Floyd more because of the dam show and Oscar does seem fake but I don't care really as long as it's entertaining and I see a great fight"

I also read the HBO was so impressed with the success of the show that they'd like to do similar type shows for future big fights.

I wonder which fight will capture the casual fan and the media's attention like this one in the near future? I can't think of any apart from a rematch?
