Unlike everyone else who was probably watching the fight half drunk, among friends, or live, i had to watch the fight at my grandmas because shes the only one with digital cable and no sports bars in the area were showing it. My mom came over the house just before the main event started and was upset because it appeared as if i was wasting her time by wanting to see this fight.
During the whole fight i had to listen to them talk S*** on boxing, boxers, and even the man who got me completely interested in the sport, ali. Had my grandfather of still been alive (apparently a couple more years was just too much to ask for out of the world) it would've just been me and him in the living room of the house i grew up in and not the rinky dink house my grandma lives in now watching the fight as we did in his final months. Luckily the fight was good enough to take up most of my attention because i had to listen to mayweather and de la hoya being refered to as the black guy and the white/mexican guy thru out the whole fight (example: "Wow that black guy is fast" this would anger an boxing fan especially since after every round they show the names on ledermans score card and de la hoya sounds like it might belong to the "mexican" guy).
Then they talked about work bs, how everybody looks like they have brain damage, mocked ali and then said "speaking of ali" and then transitioned from the first or second best heavyweight of all time (yes after watching some more fights, im thinking of bumping him ahead of marciano) to a F****** reality show that his daughter is on.
Long story short if the fight was boring i probably would've commited 2 aggravated assaults.
