At least he's fighting. I'll become a fan of this guy if he keeps this active. He's not special, but he does a job.

I reckon he could become like Tocker Pudwill was...fighting the champions but not quite making the grade each time. Anyway, I quite liked him from what I saw in the Calzaghe fight...even if the scenes at the end of the Joe Spina fight were bang out of order, good luck to him i guess.

I agree. Say what you want about the guy, but he's got heart and determination, and you can't really fault that.

I tend to agree but I hope he stays active!

Isn't there a point where being active gains you nothing? Unless it's a paycheck he is looking for.

Seriously. Does fighting once a month get you any closer to a title shot then fighting every other month or every third month? Theoretically isn't more stock placed on whom you are fighting?

In some cases (Tommy Morrison) just racking up enough wins to make you're record look good can be enough to get you a shot. Winning it is another thing. Kudos to the guy for staying active. Reminds me of the old days, not the bozos of today who fight once or twice a year against people they KNOW they can beat.

He's a top 10 contender I think, roughly the same level as Bika, Andrade, Inkin.

He should provide some entertaining fights in the future.

@boxinggorilla. I expect they want to keep him busy to get his mind off the Calzaghe loss. A few quick wins will help erase the memory and self doubt that might be lingering.

Good, I like him............ He beat Mora's gay ass in that rematch..... I was also secretly rooting for him against the Great Calzaghe(Which it got stopped prematurely I think by some fat, sweaty ref)....I would like to see him do well, He deserves it!

Manfredo is a good fighter is he world class i don't know but what i do know is he got a raw deal with the Calzaghe stoppage especially when you look at the Miranda vs Pavlik stoppage and that was'nt a world title fight

Activity is the key to success in boxing, make no mistake. Its ideal to fight every 3 4 months. Injuries require more time off. being in a tough match can set the calendar back a bit depending on the time needed for recovery. Sometimes you don’t realize the injury until a day or so after the match.
