Default Who are the most underrated boxers of all time

Well the top ones on my list whould have to be these two boxers

    1. Holmes-Wbc champion 1978-1984, Ibf champion 1984-1985,general recongised as the champ form 1980-1985 and he defended his title 20 and cleared out the divsion. Yet if you ask most people who larry holmes is they will say Larry Who? Or they rember when he got his clocked clean at 38 by a mike tyson in his prime.

    2. Lennox Lewis- A two time heavyweight champion who beat every on in his era and avenged every lose he ever had. But people will always remeber him Being knocked out but Rochman and McCall.

Those are my most underrated people i hope some other people will add to that list.

Jack Johnson : held as some kind of boxing god in most peoples eyes so I don't know what you mean by underrated there.

Herol Graham : failed to capture a world title against Mccalum and Jackson so is he is underrated , he really can't be rated that highly anyway can he ?

I agree with Larry Holmes, Dont know anything about laing except that he had a win vs Duran.

Die hard fans only know about Johnson i didn't even know about Johnson in 2005 so you gotta look at it from that point of view Graham was overshadowed because of Benn Eubank and not many people realize how talented he was because imo he could of beat Benn and Eubank.

true true not many know about Jack Johnson , he is more of a historical figure than a boxer in most peopels eyes too, but those who do know his name i think rate him very highly , id call him unknown rather than under rated.

Yea not too sure about Graham but i see your point , considering he was outboxing Jackson all the way to getting knocked out , who knows if he could have beaten benn and eubank.

Winky Wright was one who was under rated for a long time... but still dodged by a lot of boxers.

I think Carlos Monzon is underrated. Over a dozen title defenses. Beat Griffith, Benvenuti, Napoles, and pretty much every other decent middleweight of the era. Was undefeated for the last 13 years of his career. He could easily be a top 20 all time but hardly ever gets mentioned that high.

Didn't lower his stance in my eyes. I just figured that you can't keep on winning forever. The guy had something like 19 straight title defenses, including victories over fighters better than McGuigan ever was. I just figured Pedroza was wore out. Time to hang em up.
