COLD WAR IN HW DIVISION

Whats happened to the great American Heavies?
Louis, Marciano, Liston, Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Holmes, Tyson, Holyfield, the list goes on.

Now all the USA has is Briggs, Brock, Brewster, hey Holyfield is probably still up there.

Compare that to countries of the former ussr who have, Klitschko, Chagaev, Ibragimov, Maskaev and it pales in comparison.

Any thoughts on this.
Is life so good in America now that it does not breed the hardened fighters of poorer countries?

It would be great if a few Americans could improve and we could see a 'COLD WAR' in the ring....

I think America is just not as hunger as they were for boxing, athletes are going to other sports. For example how many football Fields or basketball courts are there alot. Now how many boxing gyms are not so much in comparson

CC#5, very correct mate. There are many sports now where you can make good money with far less risk. It is a shame though, I miss the heavyweight division soooo damn much.
