Heh Heh considering all the multi title holders it's a damn good claim to fame.

El Flaco Explosivo is indeed the answer.

I'm genuinely angry about this, because Arguello really is one of my favorite fighters. A sharp shooter in every sense. Damn it

Someone remind me who was on here a few days ago saying Alexis wasn't great?

Whoever it was he and JonesJrMayweather must be related.

WTF?! No one really said that? Please. Oh my God. That's deplorable that a boxing fan would even think that.

I would have loved to see Arguello against Duran, but their times in lightweight did not match. Duran is always rated much higher all time p4p frankly i'm not sure there should be that big a difference.

Right you ar BestP4P Arguello was as humble as they come.

Arguello's accuracy would give Duran some serious problems no doubt. And I'm not sure Duran could walk through a prime Arguello's punches. Such a fascinating fighter, one I would love to see in today's game. I swear he has to be one of the most pin point punchers of all time.

    Oh! yeah!
Believe me someone said 'Alexis Arguellos not a ATG' who has he beaten.... and blah! blah! blah!!' the same nonesense that seems to be going around right now...
I sware it made me sick to my stomach when I read that, the same way I felt as I read thru JonesJrMayweathers thread.
    Sad really.

I have to say this IS the VERY 1st time I have EVER read/heard anyone say 'El Flaco Explosivo' wasn't all that.
Care to elaborate some more, please?
Safe to say he never replied.

Hahaha, well I should have expected as much from Taeth. Arguello could have beat Ali, Foreman and Jesus Christ all on the same night but so long as it happened before 1990 it didn't mean much.
