I love Groundhog day and Ghostbusters...
Lost in translation is also superb.
I hope we see a few more great Murray performances

Of course Rushmore, Kingpin, Ed Wood
What About Bob?
That is one of my favorite comedies and definitely my favorite Bill Murray films. If I had to pick a runner up it would be Rushmore and second runner up would be The Life Aquatic.
cc Great Topic Miles! IMO Bill Murray is probably the funniest man alive, he seems to be able to crack me up just by being himself. Naturally Funny in other words. As for movies, there's Groundhog Day, Caddyshack, Scrooged, What about Bob, the list goes on.
Another great film he starred in was called Razor's Edge, which was a straight dramatic role, very tragic really. Well worth renting.
Kingpin, Scrooged and Caddyshack take top honors imo. Murray is underrated.
For me groundhog day.
Bill Murray's dry witted sarcastic humour is awesome and can light up any film no matter how shit it is (it usually isn't) !
Got to go for Groundhog Day
Scrooged is a close second along with Zissou and Ghostbusters
Got to say I thought Lost in Translation was boring though at same time I can see why it got the accolades it did
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
ghostbusters
grounghog day
what about bob
i havent seen scrogged yet?

hmmm
Ghostbusters I and II
Ground Hog Day
The Life Aquatic
LOST IN TRANSLATION and GROUNDHOG DAY
I am the first to say LOST IN TRANSLATION. It made me want to go to Japan. Scarlett Johanson is in it too. It is a good movie, directed by Sophia Coppola, daughter of Francis Ford Coppla, the director of Godfather and Apocalypse Now.

Ahh, Scrooged that one escaped me!! A fantastic film. Murray is cruel but hilarious for it. Of course What about Bob? is right up there too. His small part in the Little shop of Horrors is also excellent.
Good Murray picks.Originally Posted by amat
Indeed, Murray is truly underrated. We dont see enough of Murray on the big screen. He has been in big grossing films, but many of his roles are smaller supporting roles (Ed Wood, Charlies Angels, The Royal Tenenbaums etc).
His timing and deadpan wit are something matched by few others...
I too like Lost in translation. Its not an outright comedy and Murray plays his part in a more subtle manner. It has its funny moments but is not just for laughs. The cinematography is great in this flick. It captures the bustle of Tokyo well.Originally Posted by dasamm
