I don't think so.....Most consider him one of the 3 best lh to ever compete...Archie was a master boxer who managed to be in the mix as a top caliber fighter untill his mid 40's...IMO it is just that he competed so long ago many younger or newer fans forgey or just do not know who he is....Archie is an all time great easy...

Archie Moore isn't under appreciated IMO he still gets the deserved credit even today. His name was mentioned by Hatton after his victory. His style of fighting is well recognised and his accomplishments well respected. Great Fighter.

Agree with the point about Ezzard Charles.

To be honest the real injustice not just with Charles but Moore as well is they are both often more remembered for their loss to Marciiano then anything by modern day fans....Almost sweeps their accomplishments under the rug

the cut was so bad that even back then they were gonna stop the fight--i believe it got cut in the 6th they were gonna stop it at the end of the 7th. but the ref gave rocky one more round. today it would of been instantly stopped. boxing was a little tougher back then.

archie moore can easily ourbox pple half his age--hes a legend

charles--was amazing a great boxer and sharp hitter. after he killed another man in the ring he was never the same

yeah both moore and charles where amazing fighters. I remember Sugar saying that Charles was so feared at middle that he came up once and then had to again for the same reason! says it all really!

Circumstance was always against Charles a great fighter. many beleive Baroudi dieing changed Ezzard and made him more cautios. Plus the ALS which he died from was diagnosed in 48, yet he still boxed. many beleived his best days were at middle. At light heavy he is the Man. Check his weight gain as a heavy the disability was the cause. As a middle SRR wouldnt be seen in the same Town never mind the same ring
