Default How serious are blood blisters??

I have these 2 chronic blisters. One is on my rear big toe and the other one is on the ball of the foot. I get it from pivoting, and i dont really pay them any mind but i was just concerned because the preexisting blood is black and calloused and its expanding little by little. I dont know if this if later on this could become a complication. Maybe my whole big toe will turn black and will call for amputation. Who knows? I dont. do YOU?

this is a serious question btw.

I have heard not to pop the blister because it might get infected even if bandaged. And even then, wouldnt the blister return? So how did you guys deal with your boxing blisters?

Nothing to worry about mate I get them all the time, I am a kickboxer and train on a wooden floor 4 times a week and I get them all the time. I usually just pop mine dont now wether you are supposed to but they seem to heal quicker!

Mine have usually opened on their own or gone away. I just clip down any callouses that have partially ripped off. If you're still in school you might ask a nurse... if they're lasting a long time and spreading you might be better off draining them. You might also try wearing thicker socks.

The reason the blood in the blister is turning black is that it is congealing. The blood is clotting and solidifying. The reason th blister is expanding isbecause the wound is reopening when u train and bleeeding more. Easy fix, drain the blister with a neddle prick or whatever.

The issue are the blisters themselves....why are the occuring? Blisters occur because of friction and pressure. In other words they only appear if there is something wrong.....Boots too small, sharp edges in the boots etc. Address the blisters first, then address the cause so they wont reoccur
