    Default Tua's comeback

What exactly is the plan? He seems to be going nowhere, now he's fighting Saul Montana this weekend on PPV

This is his sixth fight in the comeback but it doesn't seem like there's any sign of him moving up, fighting guys like Wheeler, Robert Hawkins, Cisse Salif, now Montana, shouldn't he be stepping up the opposition a little? Who knows, maybe he can pull off a Briggs style comeback, not fight anybody of note and somehow get a title shot.

He's not nearly as exciting a fighter as he used to be but how many exciting heavyweights are there? Sultan's not very impressive, if Tua could manage to get a shot at him, who knows? I wouldn't even mind him fighting a young fringe contender like Chris Arreola or even Kevin Johnson. I guess he's staying reasonably busy but kinda seems like he's just wasting time.

Im in the same boat. I like Tua, but he is just drifting along and getting older and just not stepping it up at any stage.

Its not like he is looking flash against these MOR fighters he has been facing.

A Tua on form has a shot at one of these champs, but I just dont know if he has it in him to even rise above any of these belt holders.

A lot of his fights lately have been PPV. I don't know why considering there pointless fights but I guess enough people must be bored enough to buy them cause this isn't he first one of these fights that have been PPV. That and I believe there like half price, there not 49.99, there like 24.99. Still I'm not that big of a Tua fan, 24.99 or not.

And Miles, drifting is the perfect word for it. He's just drifting along wasting time, but who knows, Briggs got a shot. I downloaded one of his fights, I think it was against Hawkins. Boring fight, he just doesn't throw enough punches these days, its hard to even compare him to the guy that fought Ibeabuchi.

FFS, $25 to watch David Tua KO some nobody who is turning up for a few dollars and a good bar tab afterwards? Whoever buys this should be brought before us to explain why they have so much money to throw around like confetti.

Noone expects him to do anything against the top guys, maybe he thinks so too.

To me it seems like Tua was taking it slow in order to shed pounds comfortably so that when he does step up he will be tip-top.

He looks pretty damn fit in his www.fightnews.com picture.

I'd pay to see Tua spank Tye Fields; knock the remaining 35 IQ points out of his fat lumberjack head.

I think he's fighting to get into perfect shape while shaking the rust. He looks in fighting shape for Montana

Tua can beat the current champions.

ive watched james toney take out montana in 2 rounds with his favourite combo in close, the right uppercut left hook. montana was out for 10..

this was at cruiserweight, where toney could still punch, i mean he was taking guys out at cruiserweight with ONE PUNCH.

now i say tua should take this guy out B4 THE SIXTH.

we need to give tua time to get used to things, if he feels he's ready for a top ten guy then thats upto him. we dont decide that!

also he's getting some weight of him, now that he's older and he's a bigger guy, there is nutting wrong with him being over 230, as long as he's below 240. IMO

I enjoy Tua and always have. After the Rahman fight I thought he was going to continue going places but due to management problems, he sat out instead. Not a very bright move but what kills me is that he is taking so long to get back to it. The best chin in boxing and a heavyweight makes for a winning combo.

Also, why is he ranked so low? With all that he's accomplished:

47 - 3 - 1 draw. 40 KOs and never been knocked down. Come on, he should be in the top ten or fifteen.

Ya know, Mesi's still undefeated and he's fighting bums these days

    Roughly same height ...

I'd pay 25 for PPV to watch these two fight just out of simple curiosity though I'd expect heavy odds Tua
