Humberto Soto to take tune up before Guzman fight.
I understand the need to stay sharp but should he risk injury/loss? I'm not sure,but I'll be cherring for him all the way. He will be fighting Ismael Gonzalez (18-13, 7 KOs) in a 10-round lightweight bout. Then,if he wins,hell be fighting Guzman,in a fight which should,for all intents and purposes, be awesome. Guzman and Soto are a danger to Manny,JMM and the other top guys.

I love this--staying active like the old days. You can tell he is not one of those fight ever 7 months fighters.

Will the Guzman fight be at super-feather ?
If so, this is probably Soto doing a David Haye in going up a division, going back down and then wanting to go back up again. Maybe he's just seeing if he feels better, Faster and stronger at 135.

i don't know what the purpose of this fight is.soto has beaten this guy once before and having a fight too close to the big one with joan guzman could be detrimental.

Soto has been out of the ring a while, I don't think it's a bad idea him getting some time in the ring, probably knocking this cat out inside 3 rounds. Keeps him sharp.

Soto vs. Guzman couldn't be a much closer fight in terms of ability. I'm glad that fight will happen instead of Soto-Pac. Good on Soto for staying active.

i certainly hope so cos the last time they met this guy extended him for the full 10 rounds before he was able to knock him out.
