Default I'm now pretty sure cotto has a solid chin...

apparently he had a busted ear drum in 2005 and had to have an operation. it totally recovered. and he hasnt ever wobbled like that since.

maybe his ear drum was busted (ears control balance).

post mosley fight - cotto has a solid chin - confirmed.

Wreckless Cotto = Wreckless Chin but entertaining fight.
A more cautious Cotto = safe chin but not so great fight.
I want the wreckless Cotto back I think against Paul Williams, Miguel Cotto can afford to be wreckless since Paul does not hit that hard. Bring on the Skinny man from the fantastic four

Fighter are all different , Trinidad used to get floored but didnt have a weak chin
Cotto is similar to Felix , he doesnt have a weak chin or a rock chin just a good chin.

I always felt Cotto's chin was underrated. After all, he's been in there with some bombers. But it was his speed last night that pleasantly surprised me the most. I thought he'd look slow and lethargic against one of the fastest-handed fighters of all time. But to my surprise, Cotto more than matched Shane in the speed department. I thought Cotto had a good puncher's chance and could win with power and heart. But like Shane himself said: "The man can box, too."

I was a little surprised Mosley's punches didn't trouble Cotto more, but it doesn't mean Cotto has a granite chin all of a sudden. He's been hurt several times in the past and i'll be really surprised if he's not hurt several times in the future.

He most definitely doesn't have a china-chin though.

wow i dont like cotto at all but let me start by saying he really earned my respect last night. i thought his chin would be the determining factor last night (meaning i thought mosely would deck him a couple of times and win a ud or even stop him) but man did he show some heart and a very strong chin. i really respect him now as being one the elite in the sport. i would love to see him with hatton but mayweather is gonna ruin that for me.

    Thank you.
Finally someone else other then me says this.
Dark, I've been saying this for years now ever since the Chop Chop fight when people started saying Cottos chin would betray him and he wouldn't last with a hard hitter. Someone with power would crush Cotto to pieces....
Well here we are 2007 and hes gotten past Torres, Zab & SSM all said to be stronger then Cotto and would possibly stop Cotto.

But to go back to the chin anology, I've always said Tito used to get dropped all the time wether they were flash knockdowns or not. But Tito would get back up shake it off and get the TKO. In the end that's what matters....
