From were I was sat, I thought Cotto won by about 4 rounds. I didn't think it was that close. My dad taped it for me so I'll watch it again, but everyone around me agreed it was clear Cotto won. I can't believe some people actually thought Mosley won.

You know, thats why boxing is unlike any other sport. My perception (and I am a SSM fan) was that Cotto won by at least 3 rounds. But people see things differently... I mean yes you could look at punch numbers and say it was closer but Cotto was clearly landing the harder, crisper, more effective blows.

Thats my take on it, anyway

It was very close, it all depends on how you like to judge a fight, i mean look at the stats Mosley threw and landed more power shots, they both landed the same amount of punches over 12 rounds, no doubt Cottos punches seemed to be more crisp and damaging. But in truth i wouldnt of really argued with a 115-113 either way, but for his more aggresion i would say Cotto possibly deserved it. But very close fight.

I always thought Cotto was bossing the fight but Mosley defintely won his fair share of rounds.. close-ish with Cotto always coming out the victor

I saw it live at the arena and have watched the HBO broadcast as well....

Both times I thought it was a very close fight that could have gone either way.

If mosley had won 11 & 12 it would of been a draw IMO.

Cotto was dam impressive though, i dont think anyone with a similar style to Cotto could dominate a fighter like Mosley, to do that you need to be a technical god, so Cotto deserves all props and if next he fights and beats a Williams Mayweather or Hatton there could be arguments for him to be the best fighter in the game right now.

I have to be honest, although a SSM fan I have to say that I must have always underestimated Miguel's jab. He really snaps that out there. More so in this fight then most others I've seen. Cotto's style has always been exciting and his jab looks like it has come along well. His chin looks fine. He is become a more complete fighter with every step up he takes!

Collo looks great! Shane fought a great fight but If you have speed and you don't jab you deserve to lose (you hear me Oscar?---"It just wasn't a night for the jab........")

If was a close fight. Cotto made me nervous the way he fought the 12th. Almost giving away the last round made it seem even closer. But I don't think there was any way Mosley won. I think the scoring was perfect 1-2 rounds to Cotto. Pretty much the way I saw it.

Well britkid, I didn't order the fight.

Only seen it on youtube. Not that good quality. But from the looks of it Mosley couldn't get away from Cotto's jab or his straight right.

Mosley is starting to take punches again. punches he didn't take under the eye of John David Jackson who was teaching him to box with his hands up. wasn't very exciting but it kept him from taking unnecessary punches. Now that he's back with his father he's back to the habit of getting out with his hands down and crap.

So maybe that Cotto fight taught him a lesson finally. JDJ was a better trainer for him in terms of basics. jack is just gonna tell Shane what to do with his talent, JDJ actually added something else

Now dont ask how i rememeber this but...
Wasnt it you (Starr) who said Mosley's Jab appered to be getting shorter and shorter with time

I rememeber someone saying it, and funnily enough it struck me when it became apparent that Cotto's jab was so much better than Mosley's. (Something i seriously underestimated)
