That's a tragic ending to a promising future for him. I hope he R.I.P
Horrible
I went to bed last night thinking he had a fighting chance.
I always wonder a few things in these instances.
1) did he truly seperate himself from his previous troubles
2) Can you truly ever seperate yourself from past troubles without it coming back to haunt you eventually.
3) or was this just a random act of violence and attempted burglary.
Also I wonder why he wouldnt have the most sophisticated security system on the market protecting himself and family when you are of that profile and be susceptible to things like that
Rip
I've been thinking the same thing, JTOriginally Posted by JT Rock
Something about this seems odd.
It's a sad sad thing that has happened. From all accounts he had become a new man since his child was born. The first time I heard he was shot I figured it would have had to have been a domestic dispute since it was in his house.
Former Carolina Panther Running Back Fred Lane was killed by his girlfriend or wife or whoever....that was back when the Panthers were Dallas Cowboys East....with the Rae Curruth deal and Nate Newton getting busted for 300+ pounds of pot and just on and on with drugs and violence and law breaking.
Sean Taylor was such a talent, it is a shame he has passed
R.I.P Tragic.
Agree on all points..Originally Posted by JT Rock

Reminds me of the Darrent Williams shooting months back..
RIP
May he R.I.P.
Good points JT and it's true I personally think that you can never get away from your past especially if it involves not so good things.
What bothers me the most of this story is the following:
"Police were investigating whether the shooting was connected to a break-in at Taylor's home eight days earlier, in which police said someone pried open a front window, rifled through drawers and left a kitchen knife on a bed."
If you had already been IMO warned somehow why in the hell would you not immidiately do whatever it took to protect your wife, your daughter & yourself?
Quick story a guy I knew from Elementary, Jr. High & H.S. got in a gang and his rep got pretty heated he had been shot at several times but was never seriously injured. He became a father and he decided to leave East Los Angeles and move to Chicago, Illinois two weeks after he moved there he was gunned down at a red light while his girl and his daughter were in the car.
NFL has had a bad string of incidents it seems...he was such a hard hitter, great to watch. He was only around 24-25 that is just a shame and I hope they get that S.O.B. If your hit in the artery right there in the thigh, its pretty much curtains unless you have a doc there real fucking quick. Hopefully they had him doped up real good thats not a pretty way to go.
Dang. Sad story. Reminds me of the movie Empire.Originally Posted by CutMeMick
Yeah, about that kitchen knife. That sounds like a threat/warning if you ask me. If I had his kind of money I would never have gone back to that house again. Still, I think when you are young and rich you feel invincible.
Terrible story, was thinking he'd make it actually. Apparently he had a security system but it wasn't armed, apparently his girlfriend's sister had been staying with them off and on so they didn't turn it on in case she came in late. Something like that, was on ESPN.
A great and underated player R.I.P
but this is the third time a nfl player died this year twice from shootings this is disturbing
and i think that NFL has the most illegal promblems look at the bengals, rick williams, pac-man jones
if this was the nba none of this would happen
nfl is corrupted
It's just an all around shitty situation made even more shitty today with what Antrelle Rolle said.
Just kind of made me sad. Taylor was always one of the more exciting secondary and the combination of him and Landry was awesome. It's a shame.
R.I.P.
