thnk u keep posts coming.. i have a heavy bag in my house now, and a speed bag. Im starting to train by starting with skipping, then shadow boxing then to speed then heavy i do numerous rounds of each though, i also do pullups and pushups inbetween. Not really any running, i dont really need it, im fast enough as it is

    trust me, your not
you can never be too fast, running is more to improve you stamina and endurance as well as to work your abs and legs (vital to a powerfull punch)

Always assume that your opponent has had one more day in the gym than you and spared one extra round

Get a good trainer to teach you the fundmentals, punches, stance, footwork, etc., then you can workout at home and practice what you've been taught.

i would say to do sit ups push ups pull ups work on your fitness etc. what kind of equipement have you got?

could someone put up the signs of a good trainer , cause i am not sure weather my trainer is any good or not , he seems to know what he is doing but maybe u could post the kind of things your trainer does?

the club i am in does not have a gym at the moment we are currently hiring out a hall untill ourr new gym is build . building started about a week ago

Ill jus have to stick to home training until i can find anywhere i can get a trainer to help with boxing... I gurantee i will be the next big thing

i only bin at 2 different boxing gyms.
1 was bad, this 1 seems to be good.

1)- there are alot of good boxers traing here. (incuding national champ '04)
2)- this gym has 3 trainers walking around some times 4 (2 main and 1 or 2 assist trainers)
3)- you get lots of attention, and the minute you do something wrong they adjust you.
4)- people who just want to box to kick some1 *ss will be kicked out.
5)- the cost per month is only 17 euro
6)- 2 main trainers are former champs ( they are father and son)
7)- man i could go on for ever.

the bad gym was like this:

    1) old equipments
    2) just 1 trainer
    3) trainer was often not even there
    4) trainer would often leve the gym early
    5) the cost per month was 40 euro
    6) lots of people who only wanted to kick some1 *ss (made you feel the same with them)
    7) there was only 1 ring
i could go on for ever lol

i don't know if the gym i'm training now is the best near by, but it's got a good rep, lives up to it's rep,
and i cant complain so that makes it a good gym to me

    we have 3-4 trainners .
they work 1-1 with us but some times they dont work with me that much other times they do.
the equipement they got is quiet old but from what my trainner said they have got new stuff for the new gym.
i dont think any of them are old national champs.lol. but i know that they do go on many trainning course and stuff.
if people are there hurt others they will give them a bolacking and then if they do it again they will get kicked.

this sound like an ok gym?

sounds like a good gym to me
and old equipement dont mean that it is bad, aslong as you can use it like it's supposed to
and it gives you the workout it's supposed to
