    Default WHAT IF?

Not to take anything away from Billy Graham; but what do you think Hatton would have been like or accomplished as a fighter had he been trained by someone here in the States? Say Roach, McGirt or even Floyd Sr.? Do you think he would have been a much different fighter or had the record he does now? Not trying to offend any Brits in any way, just curious as to everyone's opinion on what Hatton we'd have today.

I'm starting to think that maybe these celebrity trainers aren't the way to go. Or at least not always the way to go. They've got so many fighters.

Look at Pavlik with Jack Leow, Calzaghe with his Dad. Hatton's got his style and it works well for him. So I'm not sure if there'd be much of a positive difference

If Hatton had fought in the states all his career and been trained by a top american trainer he would have fought at the highest level sooner and won and defended genuine world titles.

Maybe he would have been better but as far as him fighting at a higher level earlier couldn't that have been more about Frank Warren than where he trained.

Who knows if another style would suit Hatton?...Some guys are made to be teams...Ali/Dundee, Hopkins/Fisher etc....

IMO the only trainer who had the ability to make any fighter a top caliber guy was the late great Eddie Futch

Hatton and Billy (as highlighted in 24/7) have been a unit since Ricky was 17. No other person knows the workings of Hatton's body better than Billy and in my opinion nobody else would be as qualified to condition Ricky HATTON AS bILLY gRAHAM..

I think Billy Graham has got the best out of Hatton. Bit like Enzo Calzaghe has got the best out of Joe.

Maybe, if it was from the start of his career. But Him & Billy are a Unit now. At this point new trainer would just upset the whole situation.

Are we talking "carnal knowledge" here?

In the States, "Billy Graham" is a preacher.

If that's true, Ricky's girlfriend must be feeling pretty jealous!!
