Default Anthony Mundine is a d!#khead

Uh, is Mundine on crack? Saying he ducks no one, and yet he signs to fight Nader fucking Hamden. A bloke who lost his last fight Mads Larsen

Why is Mundine not mentioning Mikkel Kessler? Why is only interested in reheating leftovers against people he has already beat. Not even a speculative calling out of Calzaghe in what could be a megafight. Why?

You know it, and I know it - Mundine is fucking terrified of any of the division's big names.

    Nader Hamden. JOKE.

If he wants a name he now needs to get in with the 168 mix and prove he is in at the top. The 168 devision is going to be amazing this year and Mundine can offer a lot to it, so i hope he can get involved. I dont like the fact that he is fighting bums to be honest.

I think Mundine has lost interest in fighting the best and is just after easy money for the time being.

ha, I heard about this and was actually thinking of starting a thread asking if there's any "elite" or championship level fighter that fights more journeyman than Mundine.

In his last 11 fights he's fought guys named Jose Alberto Clavero, Pablo Nieves, Ruben Acosta, Rico Chong Nee, Rashid Matumla, Darmel Castillo, Juarne Dowling, and Shawn Sullivan. That's 8 out of his past 11 fights, a couple of these guys had stellar records like 10-6 and 9-7 Its hilarious.

Granted the other three included Kessler, very good, and two respectable guys in Soliman and Green but still its shocking. Now he's fighting this Hamdan guy, its unbelievable. I think he's a good fighter actually but his choice of opponents is laughable for a guy at his level.

Wish they'd get Alan Greene in with Mundine, would be a good fight.

I thought Mundine was blind in one eye and couldn't fight anymore? Did I miss something?

I'm just happy to see that the poor guy's career wasn't ended by that eye situation. Good for him. Does need to step it up a bit though.

In the US Mundine is not known hardly at all. He seems to only want to fight other decent Australian fighters. He will never be a superstar in the sport like he says imo. Defending against a guy who is 2-3 in his last 5 fights is not what I consider going after the best.

    Right you are Boom.

Mundine was on the back page of todays paper quoted as saying Hamden is his 'muslim brother'. They have been mates since they were 15. Sounds like he's throwing him a crumb if you ask me.

I just can't believe people still pay to watch Mundine fight these guys.

And what is with the WBA? I just heard Green has to fight some unknown Argentinian by April in his WBA mandatory. I mean, I think it's great that Danny has the satisfaction of being able to sleep at night calling himself the light heavyweight champion of the world but the reality is thus: he beat a bum to win the title, now he has to beat another bum to keep it. The sooner the boxing public at large disregard sanctioning bodies the better off the sport will be.

Maybe Mundine wants a tune-up to make sure his eye is really ok.
I was under the same impression as Danny_G that it was a career
    ending injury.

I gotta give Mundine credit, he beat Soliman like noone has before
he absolutely dominated and destroyed him. I think he should go after
    Sakio Bika or Mikkel Kessler after a tune-up. He's a douche-bag, but
he's also a pretty decent boxer. Still top 5 SMW to me.

Bika was talking up a fight with Mundine on Aussie tv show SPORTS TONIGHT last night. Claims he is the real 'MAN' not Mundine. This fight would make sense for Mundine. Bika has a name in the US after his contender victory and i think Anthony would beat him relatively easy. Giving him some exposure. The annoying thing is that after the Green and Soliman fights Mundine was on a high, now he is wasting his time fighting bums.

Yeah the WBA is getting pretty weak imo. They have the weakest champions and their champions make the easiest defences of all the major belts. I mean Gavin f#ckin Reese is WBA champion. And Valero is defending against guys who dont stand a chance.

Same thing I was thinking. This is his first fight back since that injury. Cut him some slack guys.
