Fair enough I say.... I mean is Jeff career looking worse than better?, No doubt! but there are circumstances that have come in to play that deserve the benefit of the doubt before you throw dirt on him... If he labors in his next fight or 2 against mediocre comp than I will say Jeff will never pull it out, but now I will reserve judgement until that time comes.
for the read Gamo
Yeah,CC bro,as soon as I posted this,I had you andmy boy Amat(where has he gone) in mind. I give Jeff the benefit of the doubt for now. He was coming back from injury and rusty. He won which is all that matters,he now needs to show he can hang with the guys in what is becoming an inreasingly hot division.
Fair play to Lacy for his honesty, i hope he gets back to where he wants to be, and nkocks the the tragic man out along the way lol
I like it....noting wrong with wanting to be 100% before any fight. Better than fighting loosing and using a bunch of excuses why.

Fair enough from Jeff Lacy, I hope he can get in there with the best at 168. But hes on the decline, I hope he can sort it.
I wonder if Lacy and Wright ever sparred together?

Lacy said before the Calzaghe fight that he sparred plenty of rounds with Winky Wright, so he would be prepared for Calzaghe's southpaw style.Originally Posted by boozeboxer
As for Lacy to be honest even before Calzaghe fight i never thought he was that good. He was always limited brawler with good power, he had decent skills. But if people saw him against Vanderpool, Sheika, they would of seen his major flaws. Lacy won't ever beat any elite fighters at Light Heavyweight.
good luck to him in 2008
Least he's smart enuff to know that he would get dominated if he jumped right in there with Tarver right now. He needs least two more tune up fights. He looked horrible against Manfredo. FUCKIN MANFREDO!

CC. ICB. I know that Lacy is limited but I still wish him the best. And I really hate Tarver, so I hope he can do good there.Originally Posted by Ice Cold Boxing

A punter at teh bar the other night said, "regardless of who he is fighting, I always want that guy who knocked Roy Jones out to lose." I think that sums it up for all of us....

Oh don't get me wrong i like Lacy i think he is a good guy and i wish him the best. But i can't see him making any noise at Light Heavyweight or Super Middleweight at all.Originally Posted by boozeboxer
CC back.
I hate when guy's get brutally beat in a fight and they are never able to regain thier peak (Taylor, Vargas, Lacy), I am voting for him to get back to his old self but I sincerly doubt that will happen
