One of the most fascinating pieces of history, it's significance cannot be understood without a thorough understanding of Biblical history.

It's basically a retelling of the Israelites coming out of Egypt and into their homeland and is foretold in detail in the Bible.

Jesus warned of the destruction of the Temple and of the takeover of Israel by the Romans.

Throughout the Old Testament God warns the Jews that their homeland will be taken away and that they will be scattered throughout the nations of the earth where they will be despised and mistrusted. Leaders will rise up to destroy them and they will be pursued by the sword wherever they go.

But, says the Bible that God will not forget them utterly but will bring them back from all corners of the world, and from the ends of the earth back to their homeland.

In Christian and Jewish theology the return of the Jews back to their homeland marked the end of the Times of the Gentiles and was to be one of the signs of the end of the age.

It's THE most significant event in modern history.

It'll never end till the Israelis end the occupation and offer peace, but Israel want to prolong the situation for decades to keep stealing the remainder of the 22% of original Palestine that they ethnically cleansed the Palestinians into 50 years ago.

It was ALWAYS the Israelis land. They were kicked out by the Romans in AD 70 and sent as slaves to every nation of the earth. They were hated, persecuted and ethinically cleansed many many times throughout history but amazingly managed to survive as a race.

Then just before World War 2 plans were being drawn up to reestablish them back in their homeland again.

They were a nation of people's after all, and had been homeless for 2000 years.

After Hitler, who by the way was the Egyptian Pharoh all over again tried to kill them all of for good they were, with the help of the British, American and other allied countries relocated back to their homeland.

At the point the British nicely decided to switch sides and started to bomb the S*** out the Isrealis who literally arrived back in Jerusalem unarmed in refugee boats.

You HAVE to read the history of their taking over of Isreal again. It was every bit as miraculous as when Moses led them out of Egypt, the actual historical events that took place were simply miraculous.

They literally managed to take over the whole of Isreal again, under fire on all sides by the Palenstians, Syrians, Egyptians, Iranians AND the British, with a ragtag team of old men, children, women. They arrived completely unarmed, managed to win battles against armed opponents and then took their weapons.

They had in their entire army a staggering TWO cannons and against multiple armies of thousands of infantry, tanks, planes and bombers they held out. Their two cannons were wheeled around the country to various locations to turn the tides of major battles.

In one battle a couple hundred Jews were faced with an army of thousands. The Jews fired a single shot and the enemy general was killed and the army retreated.

Another famous story was when the British were bombing the Isralies and the a few Isralies managed to take a British airfield, got in the planes, amazingly flew them ( remember these wern't trained soldiers!) and shot down the British planes!

What is also absolutely staggering is that of course coming from all nations of the world the Jews were arriving in Isreal speaking French, English, Spanish, German, Chinese etc. The Hebrew language had been dead for 2000 years.

What was absolutely amazing is that one man in the late 1800's in response to a prophecy from God about the imminent return of the Jews to their homeland single handly revived the ancient Hebrew language and invented new words for all modern inventions etc.

When the Jews arrived they had a modern Hebrew language all ready for them and they once again spoke Hebrew.

That all of this was prophecised in the Bible over 3000 years ago makes it even more astounding.

I'll try and find links to the info I laid out above but the return of the Jews to Isreal and reclaiming of Jerusalem is the most amazing and extraordinary history you'll ever read!

    I already know the history.

International law doesn't work like this, otherwise 300 million Americans would have to return to whence they came and give America back to the Mative-Americans. Palestinian people always lived in Palestine too and have generations of dead buried there. They can't just be ethnically cleansed out of existence although Israel will keep trying.

They have certainly been persecuted for a long long time, but actually it was not always the 'Israelis land' (lets refer to them as Hebrews instead as 'Israeli just refers to the name of a country that didn't exist then, and it's a common mistake to mix up racism with nationalism.

The land and area was settled by the descendents of the Arabs, and it was King David of the Hebrews who settled/conquered the land and claimed it for the Hebrews. They've been arguing ever since.

Well firstly it was Joshua not David who conquered and took the land. And secondly it was given to them by God Himself so the Palestinians case is pretty weak imo.

Add to that fact that the land was pretty much desert and wasteland until the Jews started to move back in the early 20th century. Contrary to popular belief the Palestinans actually started to move into what is now called modern Isreal in the 1930's after the first pioneering Jewish settlers had succeeded in draining the land and making it fertile again. They came for jobs and were welcomed by the Jews.

The coflicts began a couple decades later when the land was more fertile and the Palestinians wanted it for themselves.

At the end of the day though the Jewish people will always be a bone of contention for the rest of the world. There will never be peace there and another huge war between them and the rest of the world is coming.
