    Couldn't agree more.

Dela Hoya is takin the piss with this one. I dont like all these catch weight/ odd weight fights that are happening.

    Winky - Hopkins
    Mayorga - Vargas
    Trinidad - Jones
    Dela Hoya - Forbes?!

I mean, Hopkins gets a lot of praise for taking of Clazaghe at this stage in his career, because i never gave him full praise for fighting a blown up Oscar and a valiant but overwelmed Tito at 160 and dont even get me started on fighting an even older light middle at 170...

But yes, Calzaghe is HUGE for Hopkins at this point in his career.

However Oscar is just a disappointment now. I mean, he could ruin everything he's worked for by fighting Steve Forbes. Fight Luis Collazo, or Jushua Clottey, or even Thomas Bloody Damgard! But Steve Forbes? Fuk me. That takes some beating.

Your shitn me... is that true?
    Yeah it's true.
I actually heard the story a couple of days before the announcement of this fight.
We weree discussing the sports worst recent robberies and I mentioned Forbes Hopkins. I remeber Ice disagreed and said he scored the fight for Hopkins. LeftyLee agreed with me and then another poster chimed in telling us that Forbes was going to retire afterward, but Oscar talked him out of it. I read this in another random magazine a short time ago also.
Yeh that was me too as when I was looking through boxrec one time I noticed the article and that was true, Oscar talked Steve out of retiring.
I read it in a small obscure boxing mag too Lefty, so it's pretty condemning huh?
Borderline sick if you ask me. CC for bringing it up. Very interesting stuff.
