Default So Brock Lesnar:will he sink or swim??

So do you think he will succeed? I'm not so sure,I think his stand up looks absolutely horrendously bad from what I've seen but his wrestling is obviously good. Mir could be abad style match up though. We'll see, although good wrestler or not,it's quite difficult imagining this former fake wrestling guy to succeed in the brutal world of MMA.

Nice guy and I'm sure he is working hard, but I'm rooting against him. For those of us who want MMA to be a legitamate mainstream sport it kind of cheapens it a bit if a former Professional Wrestler can be successful. If Mir comes in top shape he should win this. If not Brock will most likely just grind him out with GnP

Mir's said he's pretty pissed that Lesnar would ask for him as a first fight. He's in bad shape sometimes, but his BJJ is sick. I think Mir will be motivated enough to come in decent shape and slap an armbar on him. Plus I've always like Frankie. Mir submits Lesnar round 2. =-)

I've never watched Lesnar in wrestling but I'm really looking forward to this.

I don't see him doing well as cheapening the sport though as the wrestling he does, although choreographed still takes tremendous skill and technique, plus he was a 4 time champion collegiate wrestler if I'm not mistaken.

Let's just hope his debut is better than Johnnie Mortons

Mir is a fukin asshole and he looks like a walking penis!
The guys at my gym who are really into MMA, are all pickin Mir to submit Lesnar. So I gotta agree with them I guess. They say skill over strength. And Mir is very skilled at Jiu Jitsu. So he should tap Lesnar out.

Ken Shamrock was in the WWE, did he cheapen MMA?

So was Tank Abbot. And I think it's fair to say that fat fuck as cheapened MMA a bit.

Tank is the man, I would have thought you'd be a fan of Abbot Hulk?

well he has eric Paulson in his corner, if he listens and works a game plan he may have a chance...i've trained with Eric and he is damn good like damn good way back when in his youth i think he would have dominated in the 185 lb. categorey...plus he has a good striking and ground game and does a good job explaining it. so if Lesnar isn't too fixiated on his strenght alone he may have a chance...

No way. Abbot is a joke. He has NO cardio, NO groundgame, NO respect for the sport and is a chronic loser. The man NEVER wins a fight anymore. It's pathetic. Last time I watched him fight that fat bastard beat the hell outta this English guy with a 1-1 record, then gassed after bout a minute and a half and had to tap out.
    Just pathetic.

hahahahahahahaha. Actually I give that honor to Gan McGee.

    Edit:

Just found some pics of the weigh in.

Lesnar looks huge, as always. But Mir looks in better shape than he's ever been! I hope he comes in pre-accident form. This should be a fun fight to watch!! El Gamo I think he can take this I really do. WAR Mir!

They don't have steroid testing in these fights?

lol. They do, but not till after the fights.
Mir looks RIPPED. He's usually pretty average looking. But he's got himself in good shape for this one.

I'm with you Nate,I'm going for Mir to win,and I really hope he does. If anyone has seen Lesnar's 1 MMA fight,it was horrible, becasue his stand up is non existent. Nate bro,you need to post more of those 2 HOT women in the back! Dam!
