Maybe at this point he's a little too technical for his own good Bernard Hopkins, blueprint for a tactical master.
Juan M. Marquez as well. pleasure to watch practice his craft.

Hopkins used to be technical, now he is furthest thing from it.. He throws his right looking at the ground, he doesn't use his jab at all, he keeps his hands down a lot and just still amazingly uses reflexes to avoid a lot of punches. He has all the little tricky moves, but he is technical especially in how he looks down when he throws his right hand, and then he leads in with his head. Hopkins is tactical.
    As for technical fighters...
I think Cotto is the blueprint puncher-boxer fighter. He keeps his hands up or when he does he is hiding behind his front shoulder. He goes to the body, he throws every punch well, he throws combinations well. His defense has really improved.
Mayweather is still a technical good.
OScar still has really good technique
Malignagi or whatever his name still has great technique
    Spinks still has great technique
Zab Judah does as well, its just he doesn't throw enough when he is in trouble, and he isn't the best off the ropes.
Wladimir Klitschko is an excellent technical fighter.
    Ivan Calderon
    Joan Guzman
    Chad Dawson

there are a whole punch of guys.

Good call on Molitor. He impressed me in his last fight against Castillo. Excellent counterpunching, and also very good footwork, the way he shifted position after throwing a punch or combo. He seems to be getting better each time out.

Hopkins is the blueprint for a technical boxer. He's not looking down when he throws the righthand. he keeps his chin tucked but his eyes are up. it's a philly thing. Vernon Forrest isn't half bad either.

it's hard for me to give a top 5 but off the top of my head it might look like
    hopkins
    mayweather
    winky
    forrest
    toney

i've only seen linares once but he put on show.

you wanna talk about bad habits than cory spinks is your guy.

Interesting picks, all guys who keep a low left and most of the time and use a lot of shoulder roll. To be representative of all styles, if I had to take three, I'd pick Mayweather (roll and counter style), Oscar (classic technique is still perfect), and JMM (overall complete technical boxer).

Cory has afew bad habbits yeah but you can see he is a natural and it comes effortlessly to him . I think he was born to box like that .

He can have lapses in concentration like in the 2nd Judah fight but when he is focused he is technically brilliant . You could show him to anyone who wants to know how to box and they could study his movemnt which looks like he is on iceskates sometimes the way he gluides roudn the ring . Not much pop in his punches but he turns his shoulders with his shots , brilliantly quick reflexes and although some consider him to be a bore he is actually a master of the sweet science .

He was certainly one of the 1st I thought of when they mentioned " top technical boxers " along with Floyd , Judah , Marco Antonio Barrera , Hopkins and Winky .
