Default - The Greatest 'Latin American' boxer - (Not Mexican or P.R.)

We often talk and list the 10 greatest Mexican fighters and Puerto Rican fighters as they tend to have the larger pool of fighters.

I put together a list of the top 10 Greatest Latin Fighters (NOT Mexican or P.R)
As usual keep in mind that I will not list fighters whom I have not seen and or feel I don't know enough of so you wont see Panama Al Brown on here among others...

    1. Roberto Duran - Panama
    2. Alexis Arguello - Nicaragua
    3. Carlos Monzon - Argentina
    4. Jose A. Napoles - Cuba
    5. Kid Gavilan - Cuba
    6. Kid Chocolate - Cuba
    7. Eder Jofre - Brazil
    8. Antonio Cervantes - Colombia
    9. Nicolino Locche - Argentina
    10. Ismael Laguna - Panama

Honors: Sugar Ramos - Cuba, Eusebio Pedroza - Panama, Santos Laciar - Argentina, Hilario Zapata - Panama, Betulio Gonzalez - Venezuela, Carlos Hernandez - Venezuela.

Quite possible the hardest list I've ever had to put together gave it a lot of thought and after changing it about 15 times I stopped with this one.

Thoughts opinions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks fellas...

I will assume you mean Castillejo as he's from Spain but no they are not considered Latin, they considered European.

Spain and Portugal are latin countries but they're in European continent.

They conolized pretty much most of central and south american countries?

    To Taeth and others:

I didn't create this thread to debate who's what.
History is just that history it's in the past.

Today Castillejo is considered European and not Latin.

Quite possible the hardest list I've ever had to put together gave it a lot of thought and after changing it about 15 times I stopped with this one.

Thoughts opinions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks fellas...
Pretty good list. I might switch Monzon and Arguello but just about agree with everything else. Plus, even if you added Mexican and Puerto Rican fighters I'd still have Duran #1.

I switched Arguello & Monzon back and forth about 4 times. Same thing with Napoles & Gavilan.
    Thanks for your input.
Would also like to ask why you feel Monzon should be #2.
