    Default importance of training reaction time

    was just wondering if anyone could give me information on why it is important to train the reaction time of a boxer.... or if not, reliable source where i could find this information....

    kinda a no brainer.... let a friend punch you in the face, you try to slip it...you may see the value in3 minutes or so...if not go for 12 3min periods, no head gear and a 10 oz. glove on your friend....when bored with this take same friend and do corner drills...

    The double end bag will help,having a trainer move while doing the mitts will help as well

    I think Iceman made it pretty clear. You don't want to be a "heavybag with eyeballs" do you? You see the punch coming, but you're hit before you even begin to move.
